Alarm and Domotic control System

My parents were burgled some years ago, since that time, not only for them but also personally, I decided to test and install alarm systems, using new technologies and easy to install giving more functionalities.

I tried different brands, mainly from China ones, from wireless kits using SIM card to be autonomous but more difficult to setup and having more constraints to be used during long time as the SIM card has to remain activated by the Operator. Then, WIFI systems, only needing the WIFI, but which is less secured as this can be interfered. It’s advantage is that it’s usually completely linked to phone application then and that the functions are extended, with domotic systems like the humidity control with additional devices, lighting, power switching…

The two last brands tested are Broadlink and Xiaomi Home

Radio controlled colored Star Ceiling

I was thinking creating a colored Star Ceiling in my bedroom, as all women are dreaming about

But I wanted better than just a simple projector as I already tried and not nice, and which is without option of color change. And I faced as main issue that I already painted the false ceiling in wood good state. I didn’t want then to completely remove it which would have been hard work.

I then decided to make a light one to not take risks and using remotely controlled Led system with Optical fiber:

Automatic lighting for wardrobe

I wanted a specifically bigger wardrobe than standard ones in my apartment, I’ve then done with parts from different shops origin like IKEA, which is easier about choice and price when living in Brussels, but then as big one, I faced issue that is was too dark inside and not convenient to see things. All lighting I was finding existing were not adapted and didn’t suit me. Most of then were with outside fixing system but as my wardrobe to be bigger is going till roof, thats not possible to be used;

Then for the internal system, they are using switch that you need to press, not well located or that you need to search for and/or working on batteries that you’ll need to change time to time! I don’t want to loose time with that! Then I decided to develop my own system for an automatic lighting system when opening and closing doors, I decided for that to use as I was already using them, Arduino system, and did;
